Fishy Goings On at the Sam Scorer Gallery

 22/03/2013

Paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures by students at Bishop Grosseteste University are now on display at the Sam Scorer Gallery in uphill Lincoln.

The final-year exhibition by students completing their degree in Education Studies and Art & Design is called 'It's Better to be The Head of a Live Sardine than the Tail of a Dead Trout…' and can be seen at the gallery until 29th March 2013.

Curated by Paul Cordwell and Jane Rogers, the group exhibition is a culmination of the study of art and design over a three-year period. The work is inspired by the students' personal issues and visual interests within a variety of contextual frameworks.

Students exhibiting their work are Natalie Brown, Rosie Hayes, Kate Allitt, Corrina White, Laura-Jayne Hufton, Flora Page, Eliza Revitt, Jade Cator, Kirsty Lawrence, Charlotte Thornley, Louisa McLearie, Natalie Smith and Robert Newcombe.

The Sam Scorer Gallery on Drury Lane in Lincoln is open daily from 10am until 5.30pm. For more information call 01522 589 899 or visit the website www.samscorergallery.co.uk
