The news follows other recent accolades for BGU; including a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and being a top 3 UK university for graduate employability.
Students surveyed praised BGU staff for their level of availability when it came to supporting their needs, in addition to their ability to explain complex topics. This positive feedback is even more impressive as BGU had a higher completion rate for the NSS than any other higher education institute in the whole of the UK.
The Vice-Chancellor of BGU, the Rev. Canon Professor Peter Neil, commenting on the NSS outcome said: “I have always been confident that we offer a rewarding experience to our students. However to receive recognition from the students themselves is particularly pleasing.
“At BGU we are continually working with the Students’ Union and other representatives to ensure that students are our main concern when making decisions. Of course, we will continue to improve on our excellent student experience – whilst maintaining our commitment to providing a truly Gold standard of teaching.
“BGU prides itself on the quality of our teaching, the employability of our graduates and the life changing experiences our students receive. To know that this is also the view of the vast majority of our students is very rewarding.”
The NSS is completed by nearly half a million students and has been an annual occurrence since 2005. Primarily aimed at final year undergraduates, the NSS gathers students' feedback on their course and experiences whilst at university.
