Hundreds head to BGU for August Open Day

Hundreds of potential applicants visited Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) in Lincoln today for the August Open Day.

BGU’s Vice Chancellor the Rev Canon Professor Peter Neil kicked off proceedings this morning by welcoming guests in a packed out welcome talk. He explained about BGU's recent successes including the Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework and being named a top three university in the UK for student employability.

Bishop Grosseteste Students’ Union (BGSU) Vice-President Josh Blanchard provided the student view and talked about why Lincoln is a great place to live and study. He also explained the role of BGSU and encouraged potential students to get involved with the range of activities and societies available to BGU students.

Visitors were then invited to look around our leafy campus and modern accommodation blocks on tours guided by student ambassadors before attending a range of talks and drop in sessions.

Check out some social media highlights from the day below and make sure you don’t miss our next Open Day by booking your place now.
